This program offers a foundation in physics, often called the queen of sciences, combined with essential mathematics, programming, and numerical analysis skills needed to comprehend the Universe. Our physics and mathematics program delivers comprehensive mathematical training while investigating phenomena across all scales - from quantum-level subatomic particles to cosmological structures and everything in between.
You'll develop mathematical proficiency and learn to transform physical concepts into computational models, equipping you to address diverse scientific and practical challenges after completing the program. A key focus involves mastering numerical and experimental methods, including measurement uncertainties. You'll work extensively with real-world data and experimental approaches through hands-on learning, innovative lab-before-lecture formats, and flipped classroom techniques that are hallmarks of Coventry University's educational approach.
Throughout your studies, you'll acquire analytical and computational methods physicists use to solve problems in statistical mechanics, cosmology, and quantum theory.
