Located within the School of History, Archaeology and Religion, you'll become part of a dynamic academic and research environment renowned for educating future scholars. Working under expert supervision, our postgraduate students enjoy stimulating chances to discuss and share perspectives, whether through our globally-linked Research Centres or various seminar programs. Our cross-disciplinary initiatives consistently push research forward, with backing from collaborators including the Arts and Humanities Research Council and the Wellcome Trust. We provide comprehensive expertise in British, European, and Mediterranean archaeology spanning 5000 BC to 1000 AD, with specialized focus on these key areas: British Prehistory, European Neolithic, The Celtic World, The Anglo-Saxons and Vikings, Medieval Culture and Society, Greek and Roman Worlds, Ancient Egypt, Numismatics, Ancient Technologies and Materials Analysis, Bioarchaeology, and Archaeological Heritage Management.
