The MSc in Social Science Research Methods delivers comprehensive advanced instruction in research methodologies spanning all social science disciplines. Each pathway holds ESRC accreditation and fulfills the training criteria for ESRC doctoral funding eligibility.
This program presents exceptional possibilities for cross-disciplinary learning, applying social research skills for professional advancement, and exploring specialized academic interests at the graduate level.
Students will gain both theoretical foundations and practical skills in designing robust research projects, selecting from diverse social science data collection techniques, and mastering key approaches to analyzing social science data. The curriculum also covers the ethical and political contexts of social research, along with strategies for disseminating research findings.
International Relations Specialization
The International Relations track maintains strong connections with the International Studies Research Unit (ISRU), covering broad research domains. a university-recognised equivalent academic qualification.
