This four-year MEng Mechanical Engineering degree provides a faster pathway to achieving Chartered Engineer status compared to the three-year BEng program. The curriculum enables students to deepen and broaden their mechanical engineering expertise during the final two years. Participants gain specialized knowledge in design and management, along with essential skills for overseeing multidisciplinary engineering projects. A unique feature of this MEng Mechanical Engineering (International) program includes studying engineering in English at an overseas partner university for one semester, with over 65 potential institutions across four continents available for this international experience.
Career opportunities - During the 2015/16 academic year, 95% of the School's employable graduates secured jobs or continued their education within six months of completing their studies. Graduates frequently find employment in automotive, aerospace, telecommunications, and energy sector design roles. Others pursue careers in biomedical engineering, global petrochemical operations, or various management positions in development and manufacturing.
