This program features a 9-12 month international placement in your third year. Studying and working overseas provides cultural immersion, professional networking opportunities, and career skill development. This hands-on global experience will significantly enhance your resume when pursuing graduate opportunities.
You'll build comprehensive knowledge across core chemistry disciplines before specializing in an area of personal or professional interest through a major research project accounting for half your final year credits. Additionally, you'll gain extensive laboratory experience, honing your research capabilities, mathematical proficiency, and computational expertise.
With greater research focus compared to our BSc programs, complemented by analytical thinking, problem-solving, and substantial professional skill development, you'll graduate with all the competencies required to become an independent chemistry professional.
The department is currently undergoing re-accreditation with the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC).
