Our Solicitors Practice Course is an LLM program designed to support your journey toward becoming a solicitor in England and Wales. To qualify, students typically need to: (1) pass the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) administered by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), (2) complete two years of Qualifying Work Experience (QWE), and (3) meet the SRA's Character and Suitability requirements. The SQE consists of two components: SQE1 tests foundational legal knowledge (FLK), while SQE2 evaluates practical legal skills. By enrolling in Cardiff's Solicitors Practice Course, you'll study diverse legal topics while sharpening your analytical abilities and problem-solving techniques for real-world client scenarios. The program thoroughly prepares you for the SQE1 exam and your subsequent QWE placement with a law firm or other organization. You'll develop essential legal competencies through iterative practice and self-assessment, laying the groundwork for your professional growth. These skills also establish a strong foundation for the SQE2 assessment, typically taken near the end of your QWE period. Through either an LLM research project or reflective portfolio, you'll gain additional career-ready skills including advanced writing techniques, persuasive communication strategies, and the ability to analyze professional experiences critically.

If your degree or conversion course certificate or result is pending, please upload any interim transcripts or provisional certificates.  English Language requirement - A copy of your IELTS certificate with an overall score of 6.5 with 6.5 in writing and 6.0 in all other subskills, or evidence of an accepted equivalent.
