From a hands-on perspective, you'll create professional portfolios (including digital versions), develop journalistic writing abilities across multiple platforms such as online, broadcast, print, and magazines, propose concepts for new editorial ventures, and employ various software tools to generate visual content, blogs, applications, and social media initiatives. Although you'll have opportunities to take practical courses, the program primarily focuses on academic and analytical approaches. You'll follow a dedicated journalism and communications track throughout your three-year studies. Importantly, you'll acquire skills to research, compose, and evaluate your written work to meet rigorous academic criteria while leveraging contemporary information technology for research and presentation. You'll enhance your capacity to work both autonomously and collaboratively. Ultimately, the program will sharpen your understanding of the practical and economic factors shaping media, cultural, and creative sectors, preparing you for careers requiring strong communication abilities. While Journalism and Communications specifically responds to our expanding digital landscape, the curriculum also draws from our expertise in teaching and researching journalism and media studies from both domestic and global viewpoints. Please note that while intellectually demanding, this program does NOT offer professional journalism certification. Career opportunities Our alumni enjoy exceptional employment outcomes, with their acquired skills proving valuable across various communications and PR positions. They excel at producing targeted, high-quality content efficiently. Many graduates thrive in business environments by effectively presenting well-structured written and oral proposals. Some leverage their enhanced understanding of global affairs to enter journalism. Since our undergraduate programs don't include professional journalism accreditation, numerous students continue to our Master's programs in broadcast, magazine, news, or computational journalism to obtain practical training.
