This Master of Research (MRes) program equips you with sophisticated research capabilities to critically examine, investigate, and study either current social challenges and policy matters or conduct educational research.
The MRes program is ideal for graduates from diverse fields such as Education, Social Policy, Housing, Health and Social Care, Politics, Sociology, and other Social Sciences. It also benefits graduates from other disciplines seeking to enhance their social research expertise, as well as those pursuing careers in education or social policy research.
As part of the MRes, you'll design and complete a significant independent research project.
Throughout the program, you'll refine your advanced research skills through practical experience with both qualitative and quantitative methods. You'll receive guidance to sharpen your critical thinking abilities and learn to effectively communicate your research findings to different audiences.
