The MA Visual Communication Design program at Cardiff Met tackles the growing need to transform societal frameworks to solve today's complex challenges.

This postgraduate degree in Visual Communication Design invites you to critically assess human-centered and post-human-centered design methodologies. You'll investigate both speculative and practical design strategies while collaborating across disciplines.

In addition to your primary research, you'll participate in condensed design initiatives focused on creating sustainable, collective futures.

Our Master's program emphasizes material-focused design methodologies. You'll cultivate techniques and processes that facilitate innovative approaches to conceptualizing, communicating, and challenging complex scenarios and potential futures.

You'll receive guidance to concentrate on specific contexts, identify appropriate methodologies, and utilize relevant tools to examine intricate research areas.

The program enhances your understanding of potential applications for your work, moving beyond conventional euro-centric paradigms.

Through workshops, lectures, experimental projects, and exhibitions, you'll blur the boundaries between theory and application. Alongside traditional research dissemination, you'll explore alternative academic outputs including experimental, open-source, and multi-modal publication formats.
