This program enhances both your academic knowledge and practical skills in sports through bilingual instruction. While some portions are taught in English, most content is available in Welsh, addressing the increasing need for bilingual graduates with specialized qualifications.

The curriculum allows you to examine sports from multiple academic viewpoints. Key areas of study include:

1. Training methodologies (both practical and theoretical)

2. The social, cultural, and ethical dimensions of sports and physical activity

3. Educational challenges in physical education and youth sports programs

4. Nutrition's role in sports and general populations

While covering diverse subjects, the program also provides specialization opportunities across its three-year duration. Beyond classroom learning, you'll develop a professional portfolio through UKCC coaching certifications, work placements, and hands-on experiences. Cardiff Met facilitates campus-based activities and maintains strong partnerships with Cardiff Sport, local schools, and government bodies.
