Commonly referred to as Cybersecurity, our Computer Security program delves into the tools and methodologies used to safeguard networks, systems, and information against cyber threats and unauthorized intrusion. As digital protection becomes increasingly vital across all industries, businesses of every scale must guard against cyberattacks, security breaches, and data compromises. The curriculum, shaped by industry needs, equips you with core Computer Security concepts, including offensive and defensive strategies, along with information security management.
Through interactive lectures, hands-on labs, and real-world scenarios, you'll explore attack methodologies, potential risks, and defensive countermeasures. Our state-of-the-art Cisco cybersecurity lab provides practical experience using professional-grade tools. Gain expertise in penetration testing and vulnerability assessment to build resilient systems for enterprises.
Participate in student-run groups like Capture the Flag (CTF) and Women in Cyber Security (WiCyS), which foster skill-building through competitions and career development. Strategic collaborations with leading organizations—including NCSC Cyber First, the Cyber Resilience Centre for Wales, Thales (NDEC), Airbus, and Charmwood Risk Management—enhance learning while expanding your professional network.
Program Duration:
Three years full-time.
Four years full-time with optional industry placement.
Four years full-time including foundation year.
Five years full-time combining foundation year and industry placement.
