As one of the globe's largest sectors, the tourism industry is vibrant and interdisciplinary yet vulnerable, demanding innovative strategies to address challenges like overtourism, domestic tourism expansion, and its role in health and wellness. Our BA (Hons) International Tourism Management and BA (Hons) International Tourism Management with Internship programs equip you with essential knowledge spanning economic, environmental, and social aspects of tourism, combined with strong management foundations, preparing you for this evolving field. Through flexible learning options, you'll enjoy autonomy over your study schedule and location via both digital and in-person experiences.
Industry connections form a cornerstone of our tourism management degrees. Previous students have secured placements worldwide, including positions at Universal Studios, Disney, and various U.S. resorts and country clubs. As part of their studies, students create real-world consultancy projects for organizations like the National Trust, Youth Hostel Association, Cardiff Airport, and cultural institutions, ensuring ongoing industry relevance.
Our programs benefit from partnerships with leading tourism organizations including Visit Wales, Cardiff Airport, Principality Stadium, and heritage sites. The curriculum incorporates visits to local attractions and international destinations like Alicante, Morocco, and Gambia, with tailored assessment methods.
