Through examining diverse fiction, narratives, dramas, poetry, and memoirs from perspectives attuned to gender, class, and race, you'll acquire knowledge and abilities that open doors to numerous rewarding career paths.
During your first year, you'll establish foundational academic competencies through six modules - four mandatory and two elective.
In your second year, you'll cultivate your scholarly passions by selecting six modules centered on literary styles and eras that captivate you.
Your third year focuses on refining your academic pursuits through a tailored curriculum: four specialized modules plus a dissertation (an in-depth written project examining texts or subjects of your choosing).
Opting for our four-year BA program includes a year-long professional placement before returning to complete your third-year studies. Throughout each academic year, core modules emphasizing career development and employability, complemented by optional enhancement opportunities, will equip you for your professional aspirations.
Instruction occurs face-to-face via dynamic lectures, seminars, workshops, and tutorials featuring active discussions alongside reading and writing exercises. Evaluation includes written submissions (such as essays, critiques, and online forum contributions) as well as presentations (both physical and digital).
