This program prepares future physiotherapists by teaching them to apply scientific principles and patient evaluation techniques to enhance individuals' physical health or maximize athletic performance. Brunel's Physiotherapy curriculum emphasizes practical, hands-on learning. Our specialized Mary Seacole Building features clinical-style facilities mirroring real-world work environments, where students develop their skills by practicing on both visiting patients and peers. This approach ensures graduates enter their first clinical placement with confidence and practical experience. We recognize the importance of maximizing your 1,000 clinical hours - placements begin in year two, allowing complete immersion and application of first-year knowledge. All placements involve active participation rather than passive observation. The curriculum covers diverse physiotherapy specialties, teaching students to evaluate patient conditions, create treatment strategies, and measure treatment outcomes - essential competencies for professional practice.
Career Prospects
Graduates qualify to register with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and gain full membership in the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
