The Brunel Economics and Business Finance BSc equips students aiming for finance careers with both theoretical knowledge and practical abilities to assess economic trends and corporate financial strategies. This program provides a strong foundation in microeconomic and macroeconomic analysis, enhancing your capacity to interpret economic developments and their effects on financial sectors. You'll learn econometrics, gaining sought-after expertise in data modeling, along with training in industry-standard analytical tools like SAS, EViews, Bloomberg, Reuters, and STATA. Two study paths are available: a three-year full-time option or a four-year version incorporating a professional placement year after your second year, allowing you to apply classroom concepts in real-world settings. The final year offers specialization opportunities in your chosen field.

We focus on delivering practical knowledge that translates directly to workplace scenarios, equipping you with marketable skills for post-graduation employment. You'll access skill-building resources through both the Department of Economics and Finance and the University's Professional Development Center (PDC).
