The Brunel Economics BSc program provides a comprehensive foundation in economic principles alongside practical skills applicable to business, industry, finance, and government sectors. You'll explore market dynamics through both microeconomic and macroeconomic lenses, examining how commerce and corporate priorities influence societal structures. The curriculum emphasizes financial markets and banking operations, along with fundamental accounting concepts. Additionally, you'll cultivate analytical, quantitative, statistical, and computational abilities to forecast responses from societies, governments, businesses, and individuals to economic trends and market shifts. The program includes statistics and econometrics training, enhancing your capabilities in data visualization, interpretation, and predictive modeling. These skills are developed using industry-standard tools like SAS, EViews, Bloomberg, Reuters, and STATA. Students can opt for either a three-year full-time track or a four-year version incorporating a professional placement year between the second and third years, offering valuable workplace experience.
