This program maintains strong ties with sociology at Brunel, blending sociological theory with hands-on media studies. Students will explore society's personal, social, and cultural dimensions. Brunel's communications and media studies extend beyond lectures, offering enriching experiences like field trips and film workshops covering camera techniques, lighting, and post-production. Optional industry visits, such as tours of IMG studios, provide real-world exposure. Collaborative film projects allow students to hone their craft in our professional-grade media suite. The curriculum includes training on Final Cut Pro software and various Canon camera models, along with experimentation in lighting design and audio editing. These practical components prepare graduates for careers in media production and related fields.
