Our Computer Systems Engineering BEng program is a contemporary curriculum designed to provide you with the expertise required to develop both hardware and software components for computing systems. You'll begin with foundational computing and engineering principles, covering both hardware and software aspects. The course progresses from programming and computer architecture fundamentals to cutting-edge computing technologies. During your final year, you can specialize in areas such as autonomous systems, AI technologies, and IoT applications. State-of-the-art facilities including computer labs, electronics workspaces, and power/control laboratories are available for hands-on experimentation. Dedicated computer clusters provide access to current industry-standard engineering software. This IET-accredited program fulfills the academic requirements for professional engineering certification. The three-year full-time option includes a potential fourth-year industry placement, which we highly recommend for gaining practical experience. The BEng qualification satisfies the educational criteria for Incorporated Engineer status.
