You can pursue a Master of Philosophy degree across diverse fields including healthcare, midwifery, nursing, leadership, dementia studies, radiography, medical imaging, nutrition, exercise science, social sciences, humanization, and social work. An MPhil serves as an excellent foundation for a PhD, offering two years to deeply explore your chosen subject. Our Faculty of Health & Social Sciences boasts staff with wide-ranging expertise, enabling you to collaborate with specialists in your research area. We frequently partner with other faculties to leverage their knowledge and maintain close ties with BU's research centers like the Ageing & Dementia Research Centre, Centre for Midwifery, Maternal and Perinatal Health, National Centre for Post Qualifying Social Work, Nursing for Long Term Health Research Centre, and Institute of Medical Imaging & Visualisation. Cross-disciplinary collaboration is actively encouraged, and our PhD programs facilitate working with supervisors from multiple backgrounds to produce meaningful research outcomes.
