Design and Technology is a vital, engaging subject that empowers students to innovate and create when guided by passionate educators like yourself. We'll help you develop into the dedicated, self-assured, and imaginative teacher you aspire to be, equipping you with the tools to share your subject enthusiasm.
Our taught components, assessments, and school placements are designed around your Progress Journal, which tracks your growth against our ITE Core Curriculum. This rigorous curriculum integrates both the ITT Core Content Framework (DfE, 2019) and the Teachers' Standards - the professional competencies all educators must achieve throughout their careers.
The Progress Journal additionally charts your subject-specific development, aligning with key priorities for new secondary teachers. Through ongoing review and assessment, this system fosters your capacity to drive your own professional growth, ensuring you qualify with a robust foundation in research-backed teaching methods.
