The LLM in International Business Law addresses the growing need for specialized expertise in this fast-evolving domain. This program allows students to investigate the legal frameworks governing global commerce while gaining comprehensive knowledge of substantive and procedural legal principles. Participants will engage in advanced comparative analysis of various legal systems, cultivating critical thinking abilities that boost career prospects in both legal and corporate environments while laying a foundation for potential PhD research. The curriculum focuses on honing analytical capabilities to assess key elements of international business law, covering fundamental concepts, core principles, and regulatory frameworks. Students will develop proficiency in articulating sophisticated legal concepts clearly while acquiring versatile professional competencies valued by employers.
For our International Law LLM programs, students can opt for the Professional Placement track as an alternative to the standard curriculum. This option incorporates a 20-week, credit-bearing work placement designed to enhance career readiness and practical skills. The placement component enables participants to demonstrate professional competencies when entering the job market. While students must independently secure their placements, the University leverages its broad employer connections across local, regional, and national levels to assist in finding relevant opportunities aligned with academic focus areas. Dedicated career advisors and faculty provide ongoing support throughout the placement process.
