Our BA (Hons) Events Management program offers a year-long industry placement opportunity.
The global leisure industry has seen significant growth in recent years, creating high demand for skilled professionals in event coordination, venue operations, and guest experience management.
This forward-thinking program equips students with essential skills, hands-on experience, and industry knowledge to pursue careers in the expanding field of event management, while earning a recognized CMI qualification.
Blending academic theory with practical implementation, the curriculum features insights from active industry professionals, covering diverse areas including marketing, project coordination, creative design, operational logistics, data analysis, digital transformation, experiential programming, and client relations. The program also addresses sustainability considerations aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals where relevant to course topics.

Students will engage in real-world projects with industry partners and examine current challenges in event, venue, and experience management, building skills to navigate modern workplace complexities.
The EVE curriculum includes specialized modules fostering professional development and independent learning skills for continuous career growth.

INDUSTRY PLACEMENTS
Through Birmingham City Business School's Academy of Multi-Unit Leadership network (which includes over 600 alumni from top event and leisure organizations), students gain access to valuable placement opportunities. Dedicated academic staff and a specialized placement office provide comprehensive support throughout this process.
