Many of us seek to understand why our world operates as it does: why it's characterized by endless patterns of conflict and suffering, yet also possesses remarkable capacity for compassion and mutual support. We crave explanations for today's urgent dilemmas, which frequently revolve around the fragile bonds between diverse groups - whether global societies, nations, public institutions, civic organizations, cultural movements, historical contexts, or personal relationships.

Our BA Psychosocial Studies helps you decode the intertwined psychological and social factors that shape human identity and govern our intricate connections. While sociology examines societal structures and psychology explores cognition and behavior, psychosocial studies bridges these disciplines by analyzing how individuals interact with their social environment: how people are fundamentally shaped by their relationships with others and their surroundings. This involves probing deeper into the emotional, imaginative, and symbolic dimensions of human coexistence.

Choosing the Foundation Year option provides comprehensive preparation for degree-level study. This pathway proves particularly valuable if you're returning to education after a break, lack prior subject knowledge, or didn't attain the required grades for direct entry to your preferred undergraduate program.
