Our BA Archaeology program offers a comprehensive exploration across time and regions, covering subjects from early human development and ancient history to Greek art, the Roman Middle East, and medieval Italian culture.
As an archaeology student, you'll gain skills to interpret how past societies interacted with their surroundings. The curriculum provides diverse elective courses spanning prehistoric through medieval eras, with geographical coverage extending from Britain to the Near East.
You'll master core archaeological analysis methods while examining how theoretical frameworks inform artifact interpretation. Hands-on fieldwork forms a crucial component, with learning opportunities through archival materials, artifact collections, and professional excavations - including collaborative projects with Museum of London Archaeology (MOLA) experts at the Thames through Time field school.
