The tangible remnants of history – structures, landscapes, urban environments, documents, objects, and excavation sites – along with intangible elements like customs, language, and collective memory persistently influence contemporary society. Yet, our approaches to interpreting and preserving "heritage" are evolving at an unprecedented pace.
This program will encourage you to redefine your perception of heritage, situate heritage management within broader social, political, and economic frameworks, and provide hands-on experience through collaborative initiatives with local, national, and global organizations. Designed for individuals pursuing careers in nonprofit work, community projects, development, or various leadership positions, the curriculum develops practical competencies. Many alumni advance to doctoral studies, joining our expanding community of heritage research scholars.
