Criminology examines the roots, motivations, and trends behind criminal behavior. Beyond expanding our comprehension of crime, this field also shapes strategies and procedures in law enforcement, legal systems, and correctional institutions.
Our Criminology program lets you examine criminal activity through multiple lenses, acquire hands-on experience, and build versatile skills applicable across various professions. As a multidisciplinary field, criminology offers diverse perspectives on crime. You'll explore criminal behavior through different frameworks and viewpoints. Foundational courses cover key theories, discussions, and research challenges in criminology and justice systems, while electives allow specialization. The optional placement year enables you to seek, apply for, and obtain professional experience, typically involving one to three positions spanning at least nine months. Successfully completing this component showcases your capacity to obtain and maintain career-level positions.
