Our BA (Hons) Interior Design program emphasizes transforming existing structures and environments through creative solutions. You'll examine the sensory aspects of everyday spaces—including illumination, atmosphere, textures, and surfaces—and their role in shaping atmosphere and emotion. As an emerging interior designer, you'll implement your creative abilities across diverse settings like hospitality venues, dining establishments, exhibition spaces, retail environments, corporate offices, cultural institutions, and art galleries.
Starting immediately, you'll craft design concepts for various interior environments such as eateries, accommodations, stores, and cultural venues. In modern design, sustainable approaches are essential, with adaptive reuse of structures being a crucial competency. Design Studio initiatives serve as the program's foundation, complemented by workshops and lectures that enhance your understanding of current interior design methodologies. Collaborative opportunities with real-world clients and partners will help you hone teamwork and professional relationship skills.
Career opportunities for Interior Design graduates span numerous fields. Beyond conventional positions in architecture and interior design firms, alumni frequently pursue specialized roles in areas including exhibition design, retail merchandising, theatrical productions, and film/TV set design.
