A studio-focused fine arts program designed to foster independent exploration and taught by active artists. This studio-based curriculum allows you to investigate diverse artistic fields including painting, sculpture, performance, installation, printmaking, and both traditional and digital media. The Fine Art program is distinguished by a strong integration of theoretical and practical instruction. You'll cultivate an autonomous, critically engaged practice through tutorials, workshops, lectures, field trips, and first-year weekly sessions with your Academic Advisor.
The program focuses on advancing studio work across various mediums such as painting, drawing, sculpture, film, photography, performance, and sound. Its flexible framework embraces uncertainty, experimentation, creative breakthroughs, and innovative approaches. This course encourages inquisitiveness, bold experimentation, and originality, while enhancing your analytical abilities, self-evaluation, reflective thinking, and communication skills - both verbal and visual - alongside essential technical competencies.
Our alumni pursue diverse paths including professional art practice, gallery curation, establishing independent art spaces, arts education, conservation work, television production, and careers in art therapy.
