Our Secondary Education and History program is crafted to help you gain in-depth historical knowledge while developing practical teaching skills. You'll emerge as a skilled communicator capable of analyzing historical sources and effectively sharing your insights in educational environments. Learn to tailor your approach for diverse groups, from school students to community audiences.
While many alumni pursue teaching careers (with guaranteed PGCE interviews), we'll help you realize all your professional education goals, whatever direction they take during your studies. This History and Education program connects your historical interests with teaching practice to create meaningful impact today. It also builds career-ready skills to excel in professional settings.
The optional placement year lets you gain valuable work experience through one to three professional placements spanning at least nine months. Successfully completing this module shows your capability to obtain and maintain graduate-level positions.
