Both MPhil and PhD are advanced research degrees granted upon successful evaluation of a student's thesis, which is developed through dedicated research work. While these programs are typically undertaken full-time, part-time options may be available in specific cases. Enrollment for these degrees can commence at the start of any month. The standard registration durations for research degrees are:
Full-time: MPhil 2 years / PhD 3 years, Part-time: MPhil 3 years / PhD 5 years
Students may qualify for an MPhil after just one year of full-time study or two years part-time. PhD candidates holding a related Master's degree or with minimum two years of relevant experience might complete their program in two years full-time or three years part-time. Such accelerated timelines require prior approval from both the Department Head and Supervisor before research begins. PhD candidates are generally expected to finalize and submit their thesis within four years of beginning a standard three-year program.
