This four-year program mirrors the curriculum of the Marine Biology BSc. During your final year, you'll focus on a specialized area and undertake an extensive research project. You'll have the opportunity to join a faculty member's research team, gaining hands-on experience in a professional research setting.
Marine Biology explores life forms inhabiting 95% of Earth's biosphere, thriving in environments from polar seas (below -2‚ÑÉ) to hydrothermal vents (exceeding 100‚ÑÉ). We're growing more conscious of marine organisms' significance in climate regulation, as food sources, for medicinal applications, and other uses. Oceans host most of Earth's species, from microscopic organisms to massive invertebrates like giant squid and mammals such as blue whales. This highly sought-after program covers both foundational marine biology principles and specialized topics including aquaculture, fisheries, and marine biotechnology.
