This program is designed for individuals passionate about sociology who want to enhance, broaden, and refine their understanding while staying current with modern advancements in the field. The curriculum seeks to equip students with the tools to expand their sociological expertise through engagement with cutting-edge research and by exploring historical and comparative perspectives. The course offers advanced training in qualitative and mixed-method social science research approaches, including foundational skills in qualitative data interpretation. By examining discussions around situated knowledge, reflexivity, and subjectivity, the program demonstrates how research methodology inherently reflects underlying assumptions about the subjects under investigation and researchers' roles in shaping their findings. Participants learn techniques for collecting qualitative data and applying diverse analytical methods. The integration of mixed methodologies is explored through practical applications like textual analysis, visual interpretation, and digital social research. Hands-on instruction in NVivo qualitative analysis software forms a core component of the course, complementing sessions focused on examining conversations, interviews, observational data, ethnographic records, written materials, and visual content. Available credentials: MA in Sociology; Postgraduate Diploma in Sociology; Postgraduate Certificate in Advanced Social Sciences
