Our Masters by Research programs require students to complete a predefined course of study and research (typically designed by the student), which usually involves either (a) a thorough assessment and examination of a specific knowledge area, or (b) creating new insights within the field. For the MA by Research, investigations may focus on historical, analytical, philosophical, critical, or empirical approaches.
Every student is supported by a supervisory team comprising a primary supervisor, a personal tutor, and an additional faculty member with relevant specialization. Candidates meet regularly with their primary supervisor (typically every two weeks) and may consult other committee members as needed. They're also encouraged to share their progress through seminars and colloquia throughout their studies.
Career Prospects
Through this program, students develop expertise in their chosen field and gain the ability to produce meaningful, original work. Numerous graduates pursue further research at the doctoral level. The program's emphasis on independent, self-driven learning prepares graduates for leadership roles, specialized research positions, advanced creative professions, and academic pathways.
