This adaptable BSc Geography program lets you investigate Earth's physical processes, societal and economic influences on communities, and human-environment interactions. Starting with a comprehensive introduction to social, physical, and environmental geography, you'll progress to analyzing critical global issues like climate change, natural disasters, water management, and pollution. Our curriculum spans diverse topics from glacial systems and marine ecosystems to soil science and environmental governance. You'll gain proficiency in research methodologies, IT applications, GIS technology, and statistical analysis while building career-ready professional skills. In your final year, you'll undertake independent research with faculty mentorship, demonstrating the expertise you've cultivated. Fieldwork forms a core component, with extensive opportunities for hands-on learning across North Wales, plus residential excursions throughout the UK and Europe. Options include international study or a placement year (work or academic). The Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) accredits this program, ensuring robust geographical training that equips graduates to tackle real-world challenges. Qualification Requirements

GCSE: Grade C/4 in Mathematics and English Language or Welsh, if not demonstrated by the Level 3 qualification/s.

Offers are tariff based, 96 - 128 tariff points from a Level 3 qualification* e.g.:

A Levels: Including a C grade or above in Geography. General Studies and Key Skills not normally accepted.
International Baccalaureate Diploma (including grade H5 or above in Geography at the Higher Level)
Access: Science or Environmental/Land-based or Humanities course (merit grade required in the Geography element)
BTEC National Extended Diploma in Countryside Management or Applied Science**: MMM - DDM
Cambridge Technical Extended Diploma in Applied Science or Laboratory Skills**: MMM - DDM
City & Guilds Advanced Technical Extended Diploma (1080): MMM-DDM in a relevant subject (e.g. Countryside Management, Countryside and Environment, Forestry & Arboriculture)**
Welsh Baccalaureate is accepted.
T-levels: considered on a case-by-case basis
Extended Project Qualification: Points can include a relevant Extended Project (EPQ) but must include a minimum 2 full A-levels, or equivalent.
We are happy to accept combinations of the qualifications listed above, as well as alternative Level 3 qualifications such as City & Guilds, Access and Cambridge Technical Diplomas.

We also welcome applications from mature learners.
