Our Foundation Year equips students with the fundamental biological and chemical knowledge needed for Biomedical Sciences and Medical Sciences degrees. Throughout this preparatory year, you'll acquire hands-on lab experience, enhance your academic abilities, and explore key subjects that form the basis of medical science education. This program is perfect if you're passionate about biomedical fields or aspire to pursue related careers but lack the required scientific background for direct entry into our three-year programs. The Foundation Year also serves as a pathway to our B100 Medical Sciences degree, with potential transfers available upon successful completion. Biomedical Science combines diverse disciplines to scientifically examine human health and disease. This curriculum provides insights into disease biology, covering contemporary biomedical applications in research, diagnosis, and treatment. You'll learn to integrate core biological principles while developing expertise in specialized areas like clinical biochemistry, cellular pathology, haematology, and medical microbiology. Optional Placement Year and International Experience Year opportunities are available.
