Our Modern Languages (with Foundation Year) program is a four-year course featuring an integrated foundation year that results in the same qualification as our standard three-year honors degree. This pathway is tailored for students seeking higher education who might not meet standard entry criteria or possess conventional qualifications. This Modern Languages (with Foundation Year) degree is ideal for learners aiming to achieve advanced proficiency in three foreign languages, focusing purely on language acquisition without literary components. The Foundation Year (Year 0) provides opportunities to enhance your confidence, abilities, and knowledge base, preparing you thoroughly for Year 1 of the undergraduate program. During the Modern Languages (with Foundation Year) course, you'll immerse yourself in all three target languages from the outset, emphasizing practical language skills and growth. The program includes three semesters abroad at universities in countries where your chosen languages are spoken.
