This program centers on recognizing 21st-century children and youth as active participants in society—individuals with voices, resilience, and multifaceted lives shaped by cultural, social, educational, and political changes. Graduates can pursue impactful careers in teaching, social work, counseling, law, and beyond. Our interdisciplinary degree explores diverse aspects of childhood and youth in modern society, preparing students for professional roles across various sectors. The faculty brings expertise from psychology, sociology, children's rights, linguistics, education, forensics, health, and welfare, creating a vibrant learning environment that examines youth development through multiple lenses. Structured around three pathways—psychological, sociological, and educational perspectives—the three-year program begins with foundational studies across all disciplines. The second year strengthens these concepts through employer collaborations, building practical skills and professional networks. In the final year, students select specialized modules and complete a capstone research project to deepen their expertise. The curriculum features guest lectures, international study options, conference participation, and annual placements to investigate children's needs and contemporary practices. Designed to meet growing demand for skilled professionals, this Childhood and Youth Studies degree blends academic rigor with hands-on experience, equipping graduates to support children, youth, and families in diverse community and institutional settings within bilingual societies. Includes optional Placement Year and International Experience Year.
