Gain expertise in assisting veterinary surgeons with rehabilitation for diverse species, particularly horses and dogs, through ARU Writtle's MSc Veterinary Physiotherapy program. Our accredited Master's program emphasizes care for competitive equine and canine athletes during both performance and recovery phases. For practicing therapists, this course elevates your professional capabilities while expanding your practical knowledge. You'll deepen your comprehension of anatomical relationships to function, therapeutic interventions, and rehabilitation methods - along with essential business skills crucial for independent practice. At Writtle, you'll engage in practical training using specialized facilities, including our dedicated equine and canine therapy centers. The program primarily operates on weekends (11 weekends in Year 1, 19 weekends including on-campus placements in Year 2), with occasional Monday or Friday requirements for orientation and examinations. Year 3 dissertation students enjoy flexible study scheduling. This MSc Veterinary Physiotherapy program represents an excellent opportunity for career advancement, though please note it's currently available only to UK-based students.
A first degree with honours in a related subject and at a minimum final classification of Upper Second (2:1). Evidence of work experience hours totalling 250 hours, with 150 hours for Equine and 100 for Canine. To receive an offer of a place on this course you must be successful at interview. If English is not your first language you will be expected to demonstrate a certificated level of proficiency of at least IELTS 6.5 ( Academic level) or equivalent English Language qualification, as recognised by Anglia Ruskin University.
