Our doctoral program empowers you to investigate your unique legal interests with guidance from our expert faculty. As a PhD candidate, you'll join the Centre for Access to Justice and Inclusion, receiving support to conduct groundbreaking research that advances knowledge and propels your professional journey. Within the Faculty of Business and Law, our research focuses on understanding legal challenges in society, particularly those related to justice accessibility and inclusion. Our faculty members bring specialized knowledge across three key domains: Law and Society, Digital Economy and Arbitration Law, and Criminal Justice.

Our Law and Society scholars examine pressing social matters including human rights, vulnerable populations, family law, Sharia law, and sports regulation. Their work spans diverse topics - from analyzing Brexit's effect on EU Roma migrants' welfare rights in the UK, to exploring parental rights regarding children's religious education under the PREVENT strategy, along with family law matters concerning legal governance of personal relationships.

MPhil or PhD with progression from MPhil: Youll need a Bachelors degree or equivalent with first or upper second class honours, in a related subject area.
