Our doctoral programs offer the opportunity to participate in existing research initiatives or pursue your own academic interests in English Language and Intercultural Communication, guided by our expert faculty. You'll be assigned two primary supervisors, with access to additional academic support when needed. Our supervisory team possesses extensive knowledge across various domains of English language studies and intercultural communication, with particular emphasis on modern European/migrant film and literature, second-language learning, urban language diversity, and sociolinguistic principles. You'll undertake your research within a cooperative academic setting, maintaining close connections with various university departments and external organizations. We organize and participate in numerous scholarly events for faculty and graduate students, including regular departmental seminars and global conferences. These seminars provide a supportive platform for presenting your research findings.
Financial assistance may be available - we dedicate significant annual funding to support postgraduate conference attendance and research travel, along with select scholarship opportunities. Your specialized studies will be complemented by university-wide training programs, helping you develop crucial research skills in areas such as research ethics, academic presentations, copyright issues, and digital research methodologies.
