Regardless of your filmmaking background, ARU's MA Film and Television Production program will deepen your insight into the UK's factual film and TV sector.

During this Master's program, you'll produce a collection of seven diverse films.

Concentrating on the combined director-producer role prevalent in modern factual programming, you'll examine the evolving industry landscape and essential success factors. At ARU, you'll transform into a visual storyteller, team player, inspirational leader, and solution-finder. While focusing on factual content, you'll have opportunities to experiment with drama, music videos, and innovative projects.

Utilizing professional-grade equipment for filming, audio, lighting, and post-production, you'll master screen production techniques. You'll also acquire competencies in project scheduling, production management, financial planning, and program promotion.

We foster collaboration among postgraduate students, preparing you to become an adaptable media specialist capable of creating premium video content for various audiences.

Qualification Requirements

A good honours degree (or equivalent), normally in a related subject. Applicants with professional experience are also encouraged to apply.
If English is not your first language you will be expected to demonstrate a certificated level of proficiency of at least IELTS 6.5 ( Academic level) or equivalent English Language qualification, as recognised by Anglia Ruskin University.
All prospective students must submit evidence of their creative abilities by providing a portfolio.

IELTS 6.5 with 5.5 in each element.
TOEFL iBT with 88 overall and a minimum of 17 in Writing and Listening, 18 in Reading and 20 in Speaking.
