A law degree equips you with the ability to understand, analyze, and implement the rules and structures society establishes to maintain justice and order. Our program enhances your legal expertise through professional mentorship and hands-on training. It covers the seven fundamental areas of legal education and fulfills the criteria set by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and Bar Standards Board for pursuing careers as solicitors or barristers in the UK, while also offering reduced rates for BARBRI SQE prep courses. You can study in Cambridge, Chelmsford, or Peterborough, collaborate with practicing solicitors in our legal clinics, and hone your skills in simulated court settings. Whether you aim to apply legal expertise in fields like business, finance, policy, or public service, our program delivers versatile skills for diverse career paths.

Numerous students pursue law studies driven by a desire to assist others. Starting in your first year, you can participate in our legal clinics in Cambridge or Chelmsford. Under the guidance of licensed solicitors, you'll provide legal counsel to community members. Regardless of your specialization, our personalized tutoring system ensures consistent academic support during your time at ARU. This program is also available as a four-year course with a foundation year. Cambridge or Chelmsford students begin at ARU College in Cambridge for Year 1 before continuing at either location for Years 2-4, while Peterborough students complete all four years at that campus.
