Gain practical experience through forensic simulations in our specialized crime scene facilities and utilize state-of-the-art equipment in our SuperLab. You'll also participate in mock trials to develop courtroom skills. Under expert supervision, you'll work with advanced analytical tools and extend your learning beyond campus through visits to legal courts, mortuaries, and collaborations with police departments and forensic laboratories. The curriculum includes hands-on analysis of actual forensic specimens, including fire accelerants and trace materials like paint and fibers. You'll master various techniques such as microscopy, microspectrophotometry, spectroscopy, and chromatography while gaining proficiency with specialized biological analysis instruments. Additional independent access to this equipment outside scheduled classes is available.
