Our Computer Networking program provides you with career-oriented expertise in networking systems, preparing you for entry-level positions in IT. Gain hands-on experience designing, implementing, maintaining, and securing computer networks while studying at ARU Peterborough. Throughout this Computer Networking program, you'll train exclusively in advanced computer labs using industry-standard hardware and software. Working with curriculum developed by Microsoft and CISCO, you'll apply networking concepts to practical scenarios while mastering the configuration and management of diverse networking components including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.

Upon graduation, you'll possess the key competencies sought by IT employers and have participated in collaborative projects that simulate professional work environments.

You can choose to pursue Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or CompTIA Network certifications after completing the program, opening doors to roles in network administration, engineering, cybersecurity, or cloud services.

Qualification Requirements

5 GCSEs at grade D, or grade 3, or above and evidence of two years post-GCSE study at Level 3.

If you have achieved at least grade E in one A level, or equivalent, you are exempt from the two years post-GCSE study requirement, but you still must meet the GCSE requirements.

Applicants who do not meet the two years post GCSE study at level 3 may be considered based on their satisfactory employment history, which must be a minimum of two years full time employment supported by employer evidence and deemed appropriate by the University for meeting the course of study applied for.

If English is not your first language you will be expected to demonstrate a certificated level of proficiency of at least IELTS 5.5 (Academic level) or equivalent English Language qualification, as recognised by Anglia Ruskin University.
