Choosing ARU's Computer Games Programming program opens doors to skill enhancement, practical experience, and industry connections. The East of England boasts nearly 200 gaming firms, with Cambridge alone hosting 26 studios including major players like Jagex, Frontier Developments, and Ninja Theory (per ukie.org.uk's 2024 industry data). Our curriculum connects you with real-world projects and guest lectures from industry leaders such as Sony and Frontier. 96 UCAS Tariff points from a minimum of 2 A Levels (or equivalent).
3 GCSEs at grade C, or grade 4, or above, including English and Maths.
If English is not your first language you will be expected to demonstrate a certificated level of proficiency of at least IELTS 6.0 (Academic level) or equivalent English Language qualification, as recognised by Anglia Ruskin University.
You may also be accepted to this course with an IELTS 5.5 (Academic level- with no individual score being lower than 5.5) or equivalent English Language qualification as recognised by Anglia Ruskin University, but will then be required to undertake additional compulsory free English language modules in your first year.
A maximum of 24 UCAS Tariff points may come from AS Level (or equivalent).
UCAS Tariff points acquired from BTEC Level 3 Diplomas are accepted.
UCAS Tariff points from Access to HE Diplomas are accepted.
International Baccalaureate Diploma with a minimum of 24 points is accepted.
