As an ARU student, you'll explore worldwide cinema heritage and analyze diverse films, from experimental works to mainstream hits. Beyond examining cinematic theories and cinema's societal impact, you'll also produce short films and understand film language from a creator's viewpoint. This practical component involves crafting scripts and creating avant-garde, narrative, and documentary films using digital formats alongside traditional 8mm and 16mm film.
You'll have chances to showcase your work at Cambridge Arts Picturehouse and collaborate with industry partners. Our connections with regional and national organizations will assist you in building professional networks and securing industry internships. The program also offers the flexibility to include a placement year as part of your studies.
