Our BA (Hons) Fashion Design program empowers you to develop your unique design voice, focusing on either menswear or womenswear. From the very beginning, you'll gain practical experience by crafting original fashion pieces and exploring every stage of the design process in our studios - from sketching and traditional pattern-making to innovative draping techniques, textile work, and digital tools. The curriculum covers emerging areas like 3D digital fashion creation, modern styling approaches, promotional strategies, and visual direction. Starting in your first year, you'll participate in real-world industry projects across various market segments while learning sustainable practices that prepare you to be an eco-conscious fashion professional.
You'll collaborate with peers from diverse creative disciplines, including fellow fashion students across different levels, photography majors, and film students to produce striking portfolio content. A key advantage is the dedicated mentorship from our experienced faculty - including practicing technical experts and instructors who contribute to academic research and have professional backgrounds with renowned brands like Chloe, Alexander McQueen, Warner Bros Records, London Records, and Heavy Jeans (Portugal).

Qualification Requirements
96 UCAS Tariff points from a minimum of 2 A Levels (or equivalent level 3 qualifications), including Art, Design or Media subjects.
3 GCSEs at grade C, or grade 4, or above, including English.
You will be asked to provide a digital portfolio for review and will be given the option to book a meeting to discuss this with us.
If English is not your first language you will be expected to demonstrate a certificated level of proficiency of at least IELTS 6.0 (Academic level) or equivalent English Language qualification, as recognised by Anglia Ruskin University.
You may also be accepted to this course with an IELTS 5.5 (Academic level- with no individual score being lower than 5.5) or equivalent English Language qualification as recognised by Anglia Ruskin University, but will then be required to undertake additional compulsory free English language modules in your first year.

UCAS Tariff points acquired from BTEC Level 3 Diplomas in a related subject are accepted.
UCAS Tariff points from Access to HE Diplomas are accepted.
International Baccalaureate Diploma with a minimum of 24 points is accepted, this must include a related subject.
