Our BA (Hons) Computer Games Design program guides you through every stage of game creation, from initial concept to final product release. Throughout your studies, you'll gain expertise in game design, level creation, UI/UX design, and master industry-standard tools like Unity and Unreal Engine - skills that are in high demand across the gaming sector.
You'll compile an impressive professional portfolio to present to potential employers. If you're more interested in the technical aspects of game development, we also provide specialized courses in Computer Games Art, Technology, and Programming.
Teamwork is essential in game development, so you'll collaborate with students from other creative disciplines, enhancing your teamwork and project management abilities. Each year, you'll work on real-world projects with industry partners, which could involve creating game prototypes or promotional teasers. You'll also have opportunities to pursue projects aligned with your personal interests and specialization.
Our experienced faculty will provide guidance and feedback as you develop your online professional presence. The curriculum helps you discover your strengths and career preferences, whether in overall game design, level creation, or UI/UX specialization, preparing you for targeted job opportunities in the industry.

Qualification Requirements
96 UCAS Tariff points from a minimum of 2 A Levels (or equivalent).
3 GCSEs at grade C, or grade 4, or above, including English.
If English is not your first language you will be expected to demonstrate a certificated level of proficiency of at least IELTS 6.0 (Academic level) or equivalent English Language qualification, as recognised by Anglia Ruskin University.
You may also be accepted to this course with an IELTS 5.5 (Academic level- with no individual score being lower than 5.5) or equivalent English Language qualification as recognised by Anglia Ruskin University, but will then be required to undertake additional compulsory free English language modules in your first year.
A maximum of 24 UCAS Tariff points may come from AS Level (or equivalent).
UCAS Tariff points acquired from BTEC Level 3 Diplomas are accepted.
UCAS Tariff points from Access to HE Diplomas are accepted.
International Baccalaureate Diploma with a minimum of 24 points is accepted.
