The MRes Equine Science program offers students the chance to conduct specialized research in equine studies while completing coursework in key areas like equine reproduction, anatomy, immune function, dietary needs, and genetic traits. This unique structure allows you to earn a research-based Master's degree while expanding your knowledge through supplementary equine science courses. With its strong emphasis on research methodology, the MRes serves as excellent preparation for doctoral studies in equine or related animal/veterinary/biological sciences, as well as research-focused careers. Under the guidance of experienced faculty researchers, you'll undertake a year-long investigative project covering topics ranging from breeding and nutrition to behavior patterns and physical performance. The program provides comprehensive training in scientific methodology, including hypothesis formulation, laboratory techniques, data analysis, and results interpretation.
