Transform your love for sports and science into a qualification that provides the expertise needed to analyze how physical activity and wellness affect both individuals and communities. The Physical Activity and Health specialization is one of the focused pathways in Abertay's sports program, where you'll select your area of emphasis after completing the second stage of the BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise degree. This program integrates key fields like physiology, psychology, sociology, and public health principles, empowering you to lead health promotion initiatives—an essential component in enhancing public wellness. As you progress, you'll explore specialized modules on physical activity and health, including topics like public health strategies, wellness advocacy, and tailored exercise plans for diverse groups. Our Human Performance Laboratory, equipped with treadmills, rowing machines, fitness assessment tools, and strength-training equipment, will be at your disposal. Additionally, you'll engage with various health-focused nonprofits and social care groups that frequently collaborate with our faculty in this facility.
